Union Square

After a long sleepless night as my baby daughter being up all night due to a cold, i appeared for an early start with my trusty cup of coffee to shoot for a wedding magazine shoot. The locations were Union Square & The Caramalite Hotel. Thank to our models for the day who apart from one had no previous experience of being in front of a camera so well done them for taking direction so well. We all had a fun day especially with all the onlookers in a busy shopping mall where you don't often see a bride and photographer lying in the middle of the floor outside your favourite shop. I thought i would share a few images with you.

Virginia was one of our brides from April and just loved the idea of putting on her dress again and following the current trend of Trash the Dress. Well we didn't really trash it more just got it a little mucky. On a Cold November Sunday afternoon brave Virginia graced the passers by in the city centre, stood on a pier at the end of the harbour and posed in some very weird & wonderful locations - but worth it - here a few pics from the shoot.

Well there is no rest for a new daddy, hopped on plane to Birmingham to shoot the wedding of Sarah-Jane& Chris in Loughborough at the wonderful location of Prestwood Hall. What a fabulous day from start to finish. It had fun, laughter, a red London bus and a Nottingham Police pipe band and a great bunch of guests. Everyone got involved in the spirit of the day as they basked in the glory of the beautiful sunny day. Thanks for the compliments guys and gals - we aim to have fun with you and that we did. Chris & SJ should revel in the memory in this day for a long time. and at the end of the night we ate, drank lots and got very merry indeed.

Only 12 days late our daughter Sofia has finally decided to join us. Just 3 days after Simon Clubb Photography celebrated it's 10th birthday - we were graced with the best birthday present ever. Born on the 4th of August 2009 at 10.08am weighing 7 lbs 4 ozs. Over 20 years I have photographed many hundreds of babies and children but I was totally overwhelmed by the experience that her mummy went through to get her here. It was a very emotional experience and after 22 hours tough labour very tiring, but Jan & I agree well worth it.

I know many friends and customers are anxious to hear so I thought i'd go one better and share a little pic - here she is 1 day old.

Latest D2 Weddings Cover Shoot

It was a murky wet morning on the day of the latest cover shoot. With the model all lined up with her hair by Tracy at Angels and Make up by Sarah at Preen. The intention was to shoot at the local botanical gardens but at last minute i decided to shoot at a local hotel to change the theme from spring to a indoor shoot with a funky warm look. We had lots of fun, thankfully every found my warped humour to be funny and relaxed everyone before we started. Unfortunately my studio lights failed powered out so here are a few of the results just using existing location lights for pic 1 and 2 hand held flashguns for shot 2
